How does your company manage large-scale software development projects when offshoot projects emerge?

As a software product development company, SPD Group has been involved in several extremely high-scale projects, and this kind of a situation is very much familiar to us. Incidentally, our approach is as follows: as far as possible, any projects for the same client are managed centrally on the Delivery Manager level. This means that each of the project teams working on such projects has a Project Manager of its own. The different teams’ Project Managers report to the same Delivery Manager. This Delivery Manager interacts with the client, keeps them posted on the progress in relation to all their projects, and otherwise makes it easier for the client to exercise control over their project’s implementation. Simultaneously, it is always possible for the client to interact with the Project Managers whenever they feel that this makes sense.
